As the founder and Senior Managing Director of KJM Capital, Mr. Meister is responsible for initiating investment opportunities, negotiating transactions, supervising due diligence, serving as Chairman of portfolio companies and working closely with the CEO of each portfolio company.


Mr. Meister has a diverse background with over 20 years of experience working with growth companies in various industries, including telecommunications, business services, information technology, business process outsourcing (BPO) and manufacturing.  His unique combination of private equity, CEO/CFO, investment banking and legal experience allows him to effectively acquire, manage and advise companies from the initial due diligence stage to structure and financing the transaction to the exit after implementing operational improvements.


Prior to forming KJM Capital, Mr. Meister served as President of AP Capital Holdings, a private investment firm based in Orlando, Florida.  Before accepting that role, Mr. Meister provided senior level management consulting services to several private equity firms, including Raymond James Capital and H.I.G. Capital. Mr. Meister led several companies in growth and restructuring environments during the period of 1999 to 2007 as CEO or CFO.


Mr. Meister has extensive experience in both retail (residential telecommunications) and B2B (BPO and SME telecommunications) sectors. The positions held by Mr. Meister involved both publicly-held and private equity backed companies with investments coming from leading private equity firms, including M/C Partners, Columbia Capital, H.I.G. Capital, Centennial Ventures, Gilbert Global Equity Partners and Texas Growth Fund. Mr.


Meister also was a Senior Vice President in Investment Banking with Raymond James Financial from 1996-1999 and a corporate/securities attorney for Foley & Lardner, where both practices focused on public offerings and mergers and acquisitions for growth companies in the telecommunications and information technology sectors. Mr. Meister received both his B.B.A. in Accounting and Finance in 1986 and his Juries Doctor in 1989 from the University of Wisconsin.
